Welcoming you back, safely

The Millennium Gallery and Weston Park Museum are now open and we can’t wait to see you again!

We’re really pleased to have reopened the doors to your museums. We’ve been busy putting lots of measures in place to keep everyone safe whilst ensuring you still enjoy a warm welcome and a great visit. See below for details of how to pre-book your free visit.

The Millennium Gallery and Weston Park Museum are now open, and the Graves Gallery won’t be too far behind – we’ll let you know as soon as its reopening date is confirmed.

Keeping visitors and staff safe while you enjoy your museums is our number one priority, so we’ve made some temporary changes – here’s what to expect:

  • Limited numbers of visitors in the museums
  • Pre-booked visits, alongside some capacity for walk-up entry
  • Visitors asked to wear face coverings and maintain social distancing
  • Hand sanitiser available throughout the museums
  • Enhanced cleaning throughout the day
  • One-way routes in some areas
  • Clear social distancing guidance
  • Dressing up costumes and some interactives removed for a little while
  • Screens on our shop counters and card-only payments

As always, when you arrive our staff will be on hand to advise and help you enjoy your visit.

We’ll continue reviewing all the measures we’re putting in place – be sure to check back for the latest information.

Your museums need your support, now more than ever

Your generous donations and the income generated through our shops, cafés, events and corporate hire help to keep your museums free and open. As a charity, closing the doors for nearly five months has meant we’ve lost that vital income and we now need your help as we face the financial challenges ahead. With your support, your museums and galleries can continue to provide great cultural experiences for the people of Sheffield and beyond.

Please consider making a donation when you pre-book your free visit. Your support at this challenging time is needed more than ever.
