Recording Britain Now

Celebrating the city’s connection with the artist, critic and scholar John Ruskin, the Millennium Gallery hosts an exhibition of work shortlisted for the 2014 John Ruskin Prize.
Recording Britain Now sees 23 artists, including winner of the 2014 Prize Maggie Hargreaves, present fresh, contemporary visions of their urban, rural or social environment. The exhibition of finalists’ works goes on show alongside the major V&A touring exhibition Recording Britain, which chronicles the changing face of the nation during the Second World War.
Established by Campaign for Drawing, in collaboration with the Guild of St George, the John Ruskin Prize is open to all amateur and professional artists 18 years and over, living and working in the UK.
