Join us for an introductory tour around the latest exhibition to open at the Graves Gallery, Framed in Friendship: A Legacy of Art in Sheffield.

Find out more about artist Mary Adshead and Sheffield’s Agnes ‘Babbie’ Blomfield, whose connections and influence helped Sheffield’s art collection grow. Alongside paintings and drawings made by their group of friends, the displays highlight the influence of their wider family connections on the city’s history. Hear about how the exhibition came together and see key works by artists such as Stanley Spencer, Henry Tonks, William Rothenstein and Stanley Royle.

This talk is part of the programme of events complementing the exhibition Framed in Friendship: A Legacy of Art in Sheffield, at the Graves Gallery until Saturday 23 July 2022.
