Sheffield’s museum collection tells the city’s stories. One of the most important stories in Sheffield is that of the steel industry and how it shaped the city we know today. If you or your family were involved in the steel industry, we’d really like to hear from you and grow the collection to better experiences like yours.
Drop in and tell us your family’s stories about working life in the Steel Industry, or share your experience of the last two years. We’d love to see photographs, memorabilia, documents or any other objects you’d like to show us.
During this event our curators will also be collecting objects and stories related to the Covid-19 pandemic.
There will also be a chance to share your objects and stories at Kelham Island Museum on Wednesday 11 May - more info here.
