Join Ron Clayton for a roam around autumnal Sheffield. You’ll take in the classical facades, war memorials and statues of Weston Park before heading towards the town centre to hear stories of a great Irish Patriot, a ghostly apparition, aviator Amy Johnson, and the ‘most dangerous woman in Europe’.
The route is downhill and easy going with several stops and plenty of anecdotes, starting at Weston Park Museum and ending at the Millennium Gallery. The tour will be led by Ron Clayton, a well-known character, author and champion of Sheffield heritage. Spaces are limited so please book in advance to avoid disappointment. Sensible shoes are advised!
This event forms part of the Sheffield Showcase Festival.
