A workshop for people aged 14-25.

Be inspired by the bold and inventive work of Sheffield-born abstract painter, John Hoyland, and use his artwork as a springboard for your own personal explorations of colour, shape and texture in painting.

In this session, you’ll take part in some joyful ‘serious play’ – pushing paint to its limits and examining how we can create depth, contrast and a real sense of excitement and joy on paper and canvas.

All abilities are welcome, from the more experienced to the absolute beginners! All materials will be provided.

This workshop will follow Government guidance on Covid-19 measures. Spaces are limited so please book early to avoid disappointment.

This workshop is made possible with Ignite Yorkshire and The National Lottery Heritage Fund.
