Tune in to our Facebook page on Wed 14 Jul at 1pm for our next online tour!

Join us for a guided virtual tour of John Hoyland: The Last Paintings with exhibition curators from The John Hoyland Estate, Sam Cornish and Wiz Patterson Kelly.

Born in Sheffield, John Hoyland (1934-2011) is regarded as one of Britain’s leading abstract painters. He is renowned for his bold use of colour and inventive forms. In a career spanning over 50 years, his tireless innovation pushed the boundaries of abstract painting and cemented him as one of the most inventive British artists of the 20th century.

Discover some of the final works he created – many of which will be on display for the first time – and find out more about the making of the exhibition in this free online tour.

If you can’t make the live broadcast, the video will be available to watch later on our Facebook Live page or on our Sheffield Museums Live archive page.
