Join Brian Bilston, author of Alexa, What Is There To Know About Love? for a talk about this new collection of poems that look at love from caveman days to the internet era, first dates to love in old age, as well as poems on the challenges of modern life and the heartbreak of politics.  With titles such as ‘Remembrance of Things Pasta’, these verses are warm, witty, daft and deftly clever - there’s something to delight even the most jaded romantic.

Brian Bilston has been described as the Banksy of poetry and Twitter’s unofficial Poet Laureate with over 80,000 followers.

Off the Shelf, delivered by the University of Sheffield, has grown into one of the largest literary festivals in the UK, attracting some of the best-known names in literature and media to Sheffield each year. The festival programme is wide ranging and offers events featuring some of the best names in fiction and nonfiction, poetry, politics, journalism, music, history and science.
