Beneath Your Feet Gallery © Museums Sheffield

Join experts from Museums Sheffield and Wessex Archaeology to find out more about animal remains, environmental archaeology and Weston Park's Beneath Your Feet gallery.

We’ll begin the webinar by introducing you to Weston Park’s Beneath Your Feet gallery which covers 50,000 years of Sheffield history through over 500 objects. We’ll explore a selection of the displays and talk to specialists about how archaeologists can build up a picture of the past.

Fiona Eaglesham, Environmental Archaeologist, will explain how environmental evidence can shed light on past landscapes, diets and everyday life. Jenny Crangle, Finds Supervisor and trained Zooarchaeologist, will guide us through the intricate world of small animals; expect to see animal markings and some tiny bones.

You will be able to pose your own questions to the panel in a Q&A session at the end of the webinar.

The webinar will be hosted on Go To Webinar - book your free place here.
