***This event has unfortunately been cancelled. We’re sorry if you were hoping to attend. The health and wellbeing of our visitors and staff remains our number one priority and we are continuing to follow all Public Health England precautionary guidance as the international Coronavirus situation develops.***

To accompany our current exhibition Loved&Lost, experienced writing facilitator, Beverley Ward, will expertly guide visitors in writing about their experiences through a focused grief writing workshop.

Writing the story of bereavement can be helpful in processing a loss and also a way to record precious memories of a loved one. Beverley will provide prompts, ideas and dedicated advice for writers of all abilities, whether you are new to creative writing or are looking for additional guidance in your writing journey. Participants are welcome to bring photos of their loved ones as a stimulus.

Beverley Ward is an experienced facilitator who runs a wide range of writing workshops for adults and children from her Writers Workshop in Orchard Square. She also facilitates grief writing workshops, having used writing as a way to come to terms with the devastating loss of her partner. Her memoir, Dear Blacksmith, is available to buy now.
