As part of our Proud! project, join Sandra Baker Donnelly, LGBTQ+ historian and a founder member of Steel City Queer History, to discover more about the rich history of Sheffield's LGBTQ+ community.

Sandra will discuss how the community changed during the 1970s following the partial decriminalisation of homosexuality, and during the birth of the LGBTQ+ rights movement. She will explore in depth how and where the community socialised, organised and thrived during these years, and some of the challenges they faced.
