Weston Park Museum has one of the longest continuously recording weather stations in the country. Join us to find out what kinds of weather we measure, the different methods used to record it, and how the information we collect supports studies on climate change, biodiversity and more. As part of the session, you’ll learn how to make your own weather diary to take home and start your own recordings.

We’ve made a few changes to our family activities to help keep everyone safe. These shorter activity sessions will be for one household at a time and we’ll make sure you’ve got everything you need to complete your weather diary at home if you don’t get finished. The sessions are drop-in, so families waiting to take part will just be asked to join a socially-distanced queue inside the museum.

As part of our safety measures we’re limiting numbers in the museum – to avoid disappointment please pre-book your visit to Weston Park here.
