When we lose someone close to us the grief we experience can be overwhelming, and the absence of loved ones can feel even greater at this time of year.
The Loved&Lost project helps people engage with their loss and remember those who meant so much to them.
Created by photographer Simon Bray after the death of his father, Loved&Lost invites people to find a family photograph, then return to the location to re-create it and record a conversation about the experience.
The process offers them a way to acknowledge their loss, to share the stories of these precious moments and celebrate those who are no longer with us.
The moving stories that Simon and the participants tell together challenge the taboo of talking about death, whilst offering us solace and a chance to reflect on our own memories of lost loved ones.
