Drawing the Summer: The Dust Came First

© Neil Webb
Saturday 23 August 2014 - Monday 25 August 2014

The images and sounds for this exhibition are sourced from locations of WW2 defence structures that are now being eroded away by the environment. Neil Webb is inspired by these strange broken structures, which evoke apocalyptic scenes such as those found in British science fiction.

This pop-up, 2 day exhibition is part of Drawing the Summer, a programme of exhibitions, events, and have-a-go activities to get Sheffield sketching morning, noon and night. From careful botanical drawings to super speedy charcoal sketches, awaken your inner artist and polish up your creative skills. Take a fresh look at the things around you and capture the moment or let your imagination roam.
