The Age of Love exhibition – Artwork by Pete McKee

Relationships are a central part of life, and one of the most important is the one we have with our intimate other. However intimacy and ageing are rarely talked about. The Age of Love exhibition, with artwork by Pete McKee, is a story about love and intimacy. Join us as we display all 12 of these intimate, funny and engaging artworks over the course of the weekend.
Alongside The Age of Love exhibition, we will be hosting The Age of Love Cafés developed by Dr Sharron Hinchliff, an academic based The University of Sheffield. The cafes are an opportunity to discuss intimate relationships in people in older adulthood. She says: “It can be difficult to talk about intimates aspects of a relationship because it’s a private topic. There is a silence around these issues connected with older age. I’m looking to address that.”
