More new displays coming soon at the Graves Gallery

Jan 06 2022

We’re looking forward to our next phase of the redisplay programme at the Graves Gallery, coming this spring!

Last September, we unveiled the first of the new displays and improvements to the gallery as part of a five-year series of changes generously supported by the Ampersand Foundation. The first phase of the project enabled us to transform four of the galleries in the Graves – walls were re-clad, spaces redecorated and over a third of the artworks on display were changed over. The new additions included the debut of a new display curated by artist Keith Piper and a new landscape-themed gallery.

Now, the next part of the redisplay is on its way, with the introduction of two new displays looking at themes of abstraction and identity, plus a brand new changing exhibition.

Galleries 2, 3, 4 and 5 will be closed from Sunday 16 January while the new exhibition and displays are installed and we’ll look forward to welcoming you to see the new-look galleries from late March 2022.
