The Client Project is a Sheffield Hallam University silversmith competition, with the successful designer's work displayed at the Millennium Gallery. Join this year's designer Xueze Zhang (Frigga) as she discusses her work.

Frigga's project is designed for client Antonio Carluccio; a famous Italian chef, restaurateur and author. Antonio Carluccio was always accompanied by his whittled walking stick, not only to keep him from falling, but also to give a sense of security like a trusted friend. The tilted silver drinking vessel Frigga designed for Antonio is supported by a carefully whittled wooden handle, which also acts as a support. Cheese is one of the essential ingredients in Italian food, and Frigga's design for Antonio's cheese knife commemorates the contribution he made as an Italian chef, the shape of the blade reflects the form of his favourite mushroom and the whittled wood handle reminds us of his love of rambling.
