Leonardo's wall painting of The Last Supper is one of the most iconic artworks of all time. In this evening event we will be linking the preparatory sketch of the The Head of St Philip, (c.1495.) on display in the Millennium Gallery with the whole painting in Milan. In the style of our Talking Art,Talking Life sessions we'll be finding connections together about character, expression, fate and hope.

We'll be looking at the current exhibition, examining some photos from Milan, seeing how The Last Supper has been used and abused over the years and then re-creating our own Sheffield version of the iconic painting. If you would like to join in, you can strike the pose of one of Leonardo's famous figures. Our 'tableau vivant' will be photographed and you'll be emailed your own copy. Characters will be chosen at complete random so you could Jesus, Judas or Phillip.
