Join Colin Ford CBE as he explores the role of Julia Margaret Cameron in the development of art photography.

Ford was the first curator of photography in any British national museum, working at the National Portrait Gallery from 1972-82 where he acquired or identified many of the photographs in Victorian Giants: The Birth of Art Photograpy.

In the 1970s, Ford initiated the first catalogue raisonné of any photographer: Julia Margaret Cameron: The Complete Photographs. This was published in 2003 by The Getty Museum in association with the National Museum of Photography Film & Television, Bradford (now the National Science and Media Museum), of which he was the founding head.
