Come and be part of the long tradition of singing for change.
Sheffielders have used singing as part of campaigning since the late 18th century, and we are still singing today - whether it’s to save our NHS or to protest against fracking.
Join Janet Wood and the Sheffield Socialist Choir to learn protest songs that raise the spirits and promote camaraderie, and have been sung in the streets and at demonstrations in past and present Sheffield protests.
The day will end with singing around the museum. There’s no need for singing experience or the ability to read music.
Sheffield Socialist Choir is celebrating thirty years of singing for change in Sheffield in 2018.
Janet Wood is an experienced choir leader and an enthusiast for the power of song.
