Students from the University of Sheffield will be holding a free drop in session for children and their families.

Children can take their favourite teddy to have a one-to-one consultation with a teddy bear doctor, followed by many interactive sessions where children will be able to look at x- rays, a Teddy MRI, use stethoscopes to listen to their hearts, learn how to call 999, and get their teddy bandaged.

Teddy Bear Hospital is a great way to get children thinking about their health and reduce any anxiety they may have about going to the doctor. Children will also have the opportunity to learn about healthy eating, hygiene and exercise through fun interactive workshops.

The session is aimed for children aged 3 – 8, but everyone is welcome. Don’t forget to bring your favourite teddy!

The Teddy Bear Hospital has been incredibly popular today and there is a long wait for activities. Because of this, we will be closing registration at 2.45pm to ensure that we can see everyone waiting. We're really sorry for any disappointment this might cause. The rest of the museum will be open until 5pm, please do have a look at our other events to find out what's on in the museum this half term!
