The poetry of a small number of poets such as Wilfred Owen and Siegfried Sassoon now plays a large part in how the First World War is remembered, however during the war other poets were more widely read. Chris Hopkins of Sheffield Hallam University looks at the popular poetry of WW1 and its depiction of the war.
