From silversmiths and engineers to architects and map makers, drawing is an essential skill for many professions. Meet the people who draw professionally, see their work and watch them in action.  Drop in anytime for activities and demonstrations throughout the afternoon.

On the day we'll be joined by:

David Appleyard – product designer and public realm artist
Live Works – social teaching enterprise, part of the Univeristy of Sheffield's School of Architecture
Chop Shop – CNC fabrication + design
Yoomee – digital design agency
Jonny Douglas – product / interior design
Harry Harrison – bike designer, Field Cycles

There will also be the chance to see 2D & 3D drawings from steel manufacturers Ancon and a striking Sheffield city-scape by illustrator Geo Law

This event is part of Drawing the Summer, a programme of exhibitions, events, and have-a-go activities to get Sheffield sketching morning, noon and night. From careful botanical drawings to super speedy charcoal sketches, awaken your inner artist and polish up your creative skills. Take a fresh look at the things around you and capture the moment or let your imagination roam.
