Join Friend of Sheffield Castle, Glyn Davies, for an overview of the archaeological investigations into Sheffield’s former castle and the potential for further discoveries

There have been three archaeological studies of the castle, by Armstrong in the 1920s, Butcher in the 1950s and ARCUS in the 2000s. This talk with review the evidence of these excavations with the aim of understanding the layout of the castle and assessing the potential for further archaeological investigations and research on the site.
