As the London 2012 Games commence, join us for an inspiring celebration with musicians, dancers, magicians and plenty of have-a-go activities. In association with the University of Sheffield, National Fairground Archive.
Saturday: Performances by Romano Jilo Dance Group (Romano Jilo means “Romani Heart”); Sosa Xa! (Southern African a capella harmonies); and Rationale (exhilarating and witty hiphop dance).
Sunday: Performances by One Drum (Ghanaian musicians, dancers and acrobats fresh from WOMAD) and Durbaan Dance Group (traditional Somali dance from Broomhall).
Both days: Close-up magic with Dan Ellis. Arts and crafts and Butterfly Appeal activities.
