The Teddy Bear Hospital will see Student Doctors from the University of Sheffield holding a fun-filled drop in session for children and their families aimed at reducing childhood anxiety about hospitals and doctors and promoting child health, as well as giving Student Doctors valuable experience with children.
Children and their bears will have the opportunity to have a one to one consultation with a teddy bear doctor, followed by many interactive sessions including the chance to look at x- rays, see a Teddy MRI, use stethoscopes to listen to their hearts, get teddy bandaged and talk about any fears or concerns they may have. Several new and exciting stations will be presented this year, including a station run by the University of Sheffield Dental and Orthoptic Students.
Suitable for children aged 4 - 11, but everyone welcome.
