Conservation Appeal 2016: Norwood Hall

Norwood Hall, Artist Unknown (1775 – 1900)

The Conservation Appeal 2016 has now closed. Thank you to everyone who supported the appeal to raise vital funds to restore Norwood Hall, an important historical Sheffield painting. Your generosity has ensured that this much-needed conservation work can take place.

We are delighted that the painting will be restored in time for the opening of the new Picturing Sheffield gallery this autumn at Weston Park museum. Visitors will be able to enjoy the work as part of a celebration of Sheffield alongside works of art that illustrate moments in the life of the city and its landscapes, buildings and people.

Museums Sheffield is a charity and relies on donations to help us look after and conserve the collections in our care for future generations to enjoy. Find out more how you can support our work here.
