Celebrating 200 years of the Sheffield Sunday School Union.

From the early days of teaching children the basics of how to read and write, to the mass-gatherings of the Whit Sings in the parks, Sunday Schools have been a much-loved part of many Sheffield people’s lives.

This display celebrates the 200th anniversary of the Sheffield Sunday School Union in 2012, and explores its motivations, impact and continuing legacy.

Created in partnership with the Sheffield Christian Education Council.
