Coming Home

Saturday 2 July 2011 - Sunday 24 June 2012

Studies have shown that 1 in 4 British adults experience at least one diagnosable mental health difficulty in any one year. This display in the Sheffield Life and Times gallery explores the important influence our home lives can have on our mental health.

Coming Home has been created by current and former Sheffield Health and Social Care Trust NHS service users working with Museums Sheffield and the University of Sheffield. The display features a series of ‘bricks’ which have been created by participants to represent why their own home is important to them. The artwork goes on show alongside a film made by staff and students from the University of Sheffield’s Storying Sheffield project.
