Pauline Burbidge

Photograph by Keith Tidball Burbidge has used a traditional Ordnance Survey Explorer map (428) of the Applecross region of North West Scotland, as inspiration for her own mapping experience of this landscape. Applecross Quilt connects people with Burbidge's own physical experience of Applecross, representing the areas rugged rocks, sand ripples, reed clumps, pools and ponds by using her love of fabric, stitching, painting and traditional patchwork quilts.
