Family Fun at Museums Sheffield
|
Museums Sheffield has a thriving family learning programme across all four of our museums. This programme takes many different forms from Discovery Time sessions at Weston Park, History Quest Trails at Bishops' House and Family Art Time at the Millennium Gallery. The Graves Gallery and the Millennium Gallery host Saturday Art Club for 7 - 10 year olds and Art Plus for 11 - 14 year olds.
There is also a range of book in advance and drop in events linking to our temporary and permanent galleries. These are frequently held in conjunction with national and local initiatives such as Family Learning Festival, Sheffield Family Learning Service, Off the Shelf, The Big Draw and Showcomotion, Sheffield's Independent Showroom Cinemas International Children's Film Festival.

| The family learning programme is inspired by the temporary and permanent galleries and displays. Through the programme we aim to entertain and enrich the time spent by families visiting our museums. The activities aim to engage all members of the family from children and parents to grandparents and everyone else. The family learning programme also links with some of our funded projects inspired by national partnerships including the V&A and National Portrait Gallery. |
