| Westwood’s interest in traditional British woollen fabrics inspired a series of ensembles characteristic by their textural and tactile qualities. She worked with long-established woollen mills and often commissioned fabrics from their archives. The outfits that she devised combined tweeds, pinstripes, check, barathea and plain wool. |
