In the first stage of the National Metalwork Design Award 2008 the selection panel will judge entries on the basis of preparatory drawings/prototypes or photographs and the information supplied in the Application Form. It is therefore important that any material supplied at this initial phase is shown to the best possible advantage. Please Note: No feedback can be given at this stage of the award.
In the second stage of the award 12 finalists will be shortlisted and invited to submit their completed works. The 12 finalists' work will then be displayed at the Millennium Gallery before a final winner is selected. The winner of the National Metalwork Design Award will be awarded £10,000 and the winner's piece will join Sheffield's Designated Metalwork collection.
